Tristan Mauffrey: Writing from orality

The seminar writes a counter-history of the solitary author, from Antiquity to artificial intelligence, following one guiding thread: agency delegated to someone or something other than oneself — muse, god, the dead, the unconscious, language, chance, machine. Each session asks where, in a given writing arrangement, the capacity to act resides, and to which muse it is lent.
